Ingredients for Eggless Chocolate Sponge Cake Recipe
- Refined flour – 2 cups
- Butter – 1/2 cup
- Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup
- Milk – 1 cup
- Condensed milk – 1/2 cup
- Baking powder – 1.5 tsp
- Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
How to make Eggless Chocolate Cake
To prepare cake, take refined flour in a bowl and mix baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder to it. Mix everything reall well and sieve this mixture twice to mix everything really well.
In another bowl take slightly melted butter and powdered sugar and whisk them thoroughly. Add condensed milk as well and whisk again thoroughly. When the mixture gets puffy add milk to it and mix. Then add refined flour-cocoa powder mixture and milk in small portions and keep mixing well. Batter for cake is ready.
Grease the cake mold
Grease the cake mold container with some butter. Also grease a round shaped butter paper equal to the size of container with butter as well and place it inside the container. After this, pour cake batter in the mold, tap it over the surface and even it out.
Bake the cake
Preheat oven at 180 degree centigrade and place the container in the middle rack. Now bake the cake for 25 minutes on same temperature.
After 25 minutes, check the cake. If the cake is not baked through then bake again for 10 minutes on 170 degree.
Check the cake again. For this insert a knife inside the cake, it should come out clean. Let the cake cool down. Cake has now cooled down, run knife all around the cake to separate it from the container. Place a plate above the container and flip it upside down. Cake will come out on the plate.
Spongy and super yummy eggless spongy cake is ready. Place it chocolate cake in freezer for 10 to 12 days and relish eating.
- Bake the cake for 25 minutes first and then check. If not cooked through continue baking until baked well. Baking time vary from oven to oven.
