easy and healthy oats khichdi recipe |oats khichdi recipe | khichdi recipe with and video recipe. this is very healthy, nutritious and quick recipe made from oats, moong dal and vegetables. and not to forget we do add some indian spices to make it more flavourful. moong dal khichdi is my favourite food and i love to try variety of khichdi recipes. so today i decided to share the most easiest and tastiest khichdi recipe prepared with oats. oats khichdi is one the most healthiest breakfast with variety of vegetables in it.
i usually get bored of eating plain oats with milk. so i try various oats recipes. khichdi taste great when prepared with ghee and served hot. however, if you are diet conscious then replace with oil. moreover, oats are rich in fibre, magnesium, iron and vitamins. additionally, it helps to control weight and also and reduces the risk of heart diseases, cholesterol problems.
whenever, i am bored and still wish to have tasty breakfast i usually prepare oats khichdi. one of my friend shared this recipe and she serves to her 8 month old baby. however, i have altered a bit in this recipe by adding little more spices. moreover, if you are feeding to your kids then try to add varieties of vegetables to his diet. i like my khichdi to be slightly spicy so i have used green chilli. lastly, i like to enjoy my khichdi with curd and pickle. healthy and delicious one pot oats khichdi made with oats, mix vegetable and moong dal. one of the ways i include oats in our diet is by preparing oats khichdi.
- ½ cup moong dal, tuvar dal (both moong dal yellow and green)
- 1 cup oats
- cumin / jeera – 1 tsp
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- 1 green chilli, chopped
- onion, finely chopped – 1 small
- ½ carrot, chopped
- capsicum, chopped
- tomato, chopped
- 4 cups water
- ½ tsp turmeric
- pinch of hing / asafetida
- 1 tsp ghee
- salt to taste

firstly, wash and soak moong dal, rice in water for 5 minutes and oats for 10 minutes . |
