Lose Weight 5 Kgs in 15 Days with this Extreme Weight Loss Healthy Meal.oats khichdi is one the most healthiest breakfast with variety of vegetables in it.this is very healthy, nutritious and quick recipe made from oats, moong dal and vegetables. and not to forget we do add some indian spices to make it more flavourful. moong dal khichdi is my favourite food and i love to try variety of khichdi recipes. so today i decided to share the most easiest and tastiest khichdi recipe prepared with oats.khichdi taste great when prepared with ghee and served hot. however, if you are diet conscious then replace with oil. moreover, oats are rich in fibre, magnesium, iron and vitamins. additionally, it helps to control weight and also and reduces the risk of heart diseases, cholesterol problems.
INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup moong dal
- 1 cup rolled oats
- cumin / jeera – 1 tsp
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- 1 green chilli, chopped
- onion, finely chopped – 1 small
- ½ carrot, chopped
- 1/4 cup, green peas, frozen
- 4 cups water
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin-coriander powder
- pinch of hing / asafetida
- 1 tsp ghee
- salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS

firstly, wash and soak moong dal in water for 30 minutes.

furthermore, heat the ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and hing.

when they sizzle, add curry leaves and ginger, garlic paste. saute till it turns aromatic.

additionally, add chopped onions, green chilli and saute till they change colour to pinkish.

furthermore, add tomatoes and fry till they turn soft and mushy.

later add carrot and beans (or veggies of your choice) and saute for about 2 to 3 minutes.

drain the water from half cup dal and add along with turmeric. fry for about 2 to 3 minutes.

furthermore, add 1 cup of oats, salt and fry for about 2 minutes.

pour 3 cups of water. and give a mix.

you can adjust the quantity of water to make it mushy or slightly grainy. on a medium flame, for 10-15 minutes. stir in between to prevent burning.

finally, serve oats khichdi warm after garnishing with some coriander leaves with raita.
